The Center Street Nail Technology Academy, LLC is a Wisconsin Licensed School of Manicuring; offering at least 300 hours of training that leads to certification in the field of Nail Technology/Manicuring. The students attain 131 Theory Hours and 169 Practical Hours in areas such as: Laws and Codes, Book-keeping, Business Management, History and Ethics Safety, Sanitation, Sterilization, First Aid and Bacteriology Nails and skin Disorders Anatomy and Physiology Manicuring and Pedicuring, including nail enhancements (Acrylic & Gel) Introduction to Advertising Individual Student Needs and Electives (Hours may include structured visits conducted by the school outside of the classroom at one or more cosmetology or manicuring establishments.) After gaining certification and licensure as a manicurist (nail tech), individuals can continue their education and training to become a Nail Technology Instructor, a Salon owner/manager/operator. There are also career paths that spawn from the business skills that the students learn, such as understanding profit and loss, price pointing, as well as the daily requirements of running a salon. Also, becoming a medical nail technician is a field that is within reach for many nail technicians. The entrepreneurship focus is a viable pathway.
The Center Street Nail Tech. Academy works with industry nail salons to afford our students the opportunity to interview and become hired at the varying salons. The organization also hosts job information sessions for the cosmetology population (including Nail Salon owners and establishment managers) to offer interviews and employment opportunities. The school also works with Workforce providers for guidance and job development opportunities throughout the year. Graduates (Alumni) also open Nail Salons in the state of Wisconsin. Oftentimes, together - they have success and build their business through the entrepreneurship path. The academy also brings in industry experts of whom give guidance, advice, as well as connection to employers that have viable jobs available.
Students that are enrolled at the Center Street Nail Technology Academy, LLC have the option of receiving additional information and tutoring in areas such as diseases, disorders, chemistry, anatomy, physiology and chemical composition. Open Labs and additional resources (documents) are offered for students to study or sharpen their practical skills. Dr. Jennifer Potts holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and coaches students in areas such as starting a business (obtaining licensure, occupancy, as well as the value of both personal and business credit). Dr. Potts also assures that students are well equipped to compete in today's fast paced nail technology field.

There is a $50.00 non-refundable application fee. If the student enrolls, the application fee is applied to their tuition. There are $500.00 State Board Application Fees (including a state board prep module in class to cover the tenants of the theory and practical state board processes, including the Wisconsin Cosmetology Laws- this fee could be optional for self-funded students) The Supplies and Material include the student needed products. Including Nail Art supplies for the students, as the Nail Art is a popular add on service within the industry and the students receive a nail art certificate as part of the curriculum.
Institutional Refund Policy: If the student applies for admission and is rejected by the school or if the student chooses to cancel the enrollment contract within three business days of signature, all funds collected by the school shall be refunded (minus the application fee). The school also conforms to the state of Wisconsin Administrative Code Refund Standards (SPS 62.07) as its refund policy - partial refund chart.
